Chains of inheritance mechanisms or reconstruction of cultural genome through visual taxonomies

This research deals with the reconstruction of a "biography" of the word, and it designates the ritual namaz (Muslim prayer), and the viability of the reconstruction phases. Working for years on the reconstruction of the modern tradition, accumulated on the word and the ritual, and related to Azerbaijani identity, we usually assume two prisms of methodologies: the audio-lexical or verbal and visual taxonomy. This paper limited tracing namaz word and rite, and its cognitive semiotics with a visual cluster, represented in namaz as a research method. This study begins with the initial perception of the audience or what we called first interpretation. If the first perception-association to this word for Azerbaijani audience stands a praying tradition of modern Muslims, which is one of the five basic obligations of Islam, visual taxonomy discovers parallels semiotics and itineraries from various times and geographical areas, which is possible to group in 3 positions involving Namaste, chelobitnaya, Ash Wednesday, Om, bindi; Anjali mudra, hamsa; Shashanka asana. These visual elements reveal the relatively modern and ancient progenitors, thereby creating inheritance chains and links of the tradition kept up today
